💼The opportunity:

We are looking to recruit a talented Backup Specialist III with solid experience in the use and management of the Veritas NetBackup platform to support data protection and recovery operations in enterprise environments. The successful candidate will be responsible for the design, implementation, monitoring, and maintenance of backup and recovery solutions, ensuring the reliability and operational continuity of IT systems.

💰RAL:

€47.5K - €70K 

💻 Responsibilities:

• Daily management of backup and restore processes using Veritas NetBackup.

• Monitoring of jobs, troubleshooting errors, and optimizing performance.

• Configuration and maintenance of backup policies and media servers.

• Collaboration with the infrastructure team to ensure data protection across physical, virtual, and cloud environments.

• Support in defining disaster recovery strategies.

• Creation of technical reports and operational documentation.

🛠️ Requirements:

• Italian language;
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering or Computer Science;
• Proven experience  (3-5 years) with Veritas NetBackup (recent versions)
• On-call availability;
• In-depth knowledge of backup architectures, tape libraries, disks, and deduplication technologies;
• Experience with Windows and Linux/Unix operating systems;
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills;
• Veritas NetBackup certification or equivalent is a plus;
• Precision and attention to detail;
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
